"Imagine raising four children in a house with no running water, no electricity, no doors, no windows, and often no food to put on the table. This is Sarah's reality, but with your help, we can change her story."

"Sarah is a talented seamstress living in Kumasi, Ghana. In recent years, she has faced unimaginable loss and challenges. After her sister passed away giving birth to Brown, Sarah took on the responsibility of raising her sister's four children. Her father had passed just few years earlier.

On top of the struggles she already faced, working a job with four small children is not possible. With no consistent income, she has been living in a house without electricity, running water, doors, or windows, doing whatever she can to provide food for the children, often relying on her faith and resourcefulness to make ends meet."

This is the house where they have no choice but live.

In my works in ministry across may countries, I have been present for struggling families who had no floors in their house. They did have food, electrcity and water. I have been in homes where sewage was coming back up in the house and the floors were rotting as a result but still with access to services.

Sarah' situation is not the result of war or famiine or natural disaster. It is the result of the passing of her father, her sister, and the scattering of her family. I am thankful God has chosen  that I meet her and the children thorugh social media. She has given me permision to seek herlp on their behalf and that is why I am reachig out to you.

Her priorities are clear. Number 1 is the provision of food. Number 2 is the provision of safety. Number 3 is the provision of water and power. Number 4 is the provision of a stove and refrigerator. Number 5 is Support for Sarah’s sewing skills to help her earn a stable income from home.

She is curently cooking their meals outside with no means to retain anything overnight unless it is a non-perishable.

It is my intention to make a missions trip to Kumasi in June to assist with indoor finishing of walls and build beds, dining table and chairs, couch and chairs and other basic furniture for their family.

Friends and I have been providing small amounts of money to help with food. It is not enough. Food costs are not only high in America. Inflation is systemic globally. Sarah has had to resort to going into the bush with a sling shot to kill animals. She skins and removes internal organs to make food for them to eat. Someties she goes fishing with a net. Only last week, she was bitten by a snake while trying to catch fish with a net for food for them.

I will be putting together a shipment by DHL to Kumasi with some things she and the children can use as learning tools. I am also going to be sending many bags of Rice, Ramen Noodles, Jerky, and other non-perishables food items. Their need for food and safety tug at my heart.

"A single act of kindness can change their lives. Just $20 could provide meals for Sarah and her family for days. $50 could help bring electricity or running water to their home. Every contribution matters, no matter the size."

How to Help

"To help Sarah, download the Remitly app, which allows you to send money internationally at no cost to the recipient. Here's how you can make a difference in just a few steps:

  1. Download the Remitly app on your phone.
  2. Set up your account and select Ghana as the destination.
  3. Send your contribution directly to Sarah using the following details: Joseph Takyi (Joseph Takyi is Sarah's late father)
  4. Share this message with others to help us reach more hearts."

Closing Call to Action

I close this appeal to you to show and share your love. On days when I talk to Sarah and I learned she has not eaten, Sarah always says, "God is in control." And while her faith is unshakable, we can be the hands and hearts through which her prayers are answered. Let’s come together to give Sarah and her family the fresh start they desperately need. Your love and support will mean the world to them—and to me."

None of us ever want to face this situation. Wouldn’t we be encouraged if love prompted others to reach out to help us when we needed their so desperately. I know Sarah will .May we all share the privilege to be a blessing to Sarah, to Brown, to Josephine, to Leonard, and Comfort.

God bless you to be a blessing.

"With love and gratitude,
